Job Summary

Program, set up machines, train operators and manage CNC Department. Maintain files and records that are critical to the operation of the CNC department.

Essential Functions

  • First priority is to keep the spindles turning on all machines with work scheduled to run on machinery.
  • Use MasterCam to draw and program all required parts.
  • Insures all necessary paperwork is with all jobs (print, traveler, critical dimension check list and set up sheet)
  • Manages CNC operators; hires, disciplines when necessary and follows company SOP, reviews job descriptions, conducts review and evaluates on a semi-annual basis.
  • Trains any new employee’s on machinery. Insures that new employees have all required tooling.
  • Maintains tooling for department. Submits purchase requests for new tooling, regrinds, inserts and inventories and tracks all tooling usage. Continuously tries to improve efficiency of tooling.
  • Assures that the machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained for efficient production. Writes work tickets for any maintenance required.
  • Coordinates utilization of resources with scheduler to insure production schedule is met. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with regards to Quality Assurance, planning, purchasing and varied personnel issues.
  • Provides input to management regarding problems and production bottlenecks. Will develop/implement resolution to shop scheduling bottleneck/overload issues directly related to the CNC.
  • Participates in company production meetings to report status of work in process, material availability, and potential production problems.
  • All journeyman machinist essential functions apply.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Insure safety polices are followed. Employees understand work area polices as well as shop safety requirements.
  • Open’s shop at 6:00am each day. Work 6am – 2:30 pm. Maybe longer depending upon schedule.
  • Check email to communicate with office staff with regards to HR issues.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with a variety of personalities. Must have good problem solving skills.
  • Writes or reviews manufacturing procedures and related documents (travelers in Jobboss).
  • Must be willing to take classes to improve skills each year.

Education and Experience

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office in particular). Must learn JobBoss software.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints to the extent required to write manufacturing procedures and adequate clarity to detail for shop use.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Journeyman Machinist.
  • Complete understanding of programming software (MasterCam) and shop software (JobBoss).
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience programming and operating various CNC machinery.


  • $25.00+/hr (depending on experience)


  • 5-7 yrs Operating Large Lathe, Horizontal & Vertical Boring Mills
  • Must have experience operating 10′ or larger VTL’s
  • Must have experience operating large horizontal boring mills – 6′ to 8′ work envelopes
  • Able to setup one-off parts efficiently & without supervision
  • Able to work independently, responsible, & reliable
  • Strong blueprint reading skills
  • Strong shop math skills
  • Ability to calculate speeds & feeds
  • Must have your own Machinist Tools & basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometer, edge finder, dial indicator)
  • Responsible for quality work & utilization of large inspection tools


  • $22.00+/hr (depending on experience)

Job Summary

  • Fit and weld components by prescribed methods required or as called out on customer’s blueprints and specifications. Meeting quality requirements set forth by AWS D1.1 or greater.

Major Duties

  • Review blue prints and job specifications with supervisor. Set up welder current, amperage, and gas flows to the prescribed settings for material being welded.
  • Interpret blueprints to understand welding requirements. Set up tacked or fixture parts for welding.
  • Weld components together meeting AWS D1.1 standards or greater.
  • Check dimensions and tolerances after welding and cooling. Use industries standard methods to straighten, ream, and debur as required.
  • Provide technical direction and support to welder trainees.
  • Participate in insuring a safe work environment through best practice including promoting of all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, maintenance of a 5S work station.


  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have 5-7 yrs experience as Welder
  • Must be able to interpret blue prints and welding, engineering and material specifications.
  • Must be AWS Certified in MIG, TIG, FCAW and tack welding on both mild & stainless steel.
  • CWI Certified would be optimum.
  • Comfortable using standard metal working tools.
  • Must have solid math, dimensional and reading skills.
  • Must be proficient on saw & drill press.


$12+/hr DOE

Job Summary

To perform routine maintenance duties including cleaning of shop, offices, bathrooms, wipe down machines, forklifts and company vehicles. To perform unskilled maintenance work of machines under supervision of qualified personnel.

Essential Functions

  • Performs assigned laboring jobs, such as plant sweeping duties, repair and salvage reclaim (hand work only), and scrap bundling or stocking on pallets
  • Cleans floor areas around equipment of metal chips
  • Performs grinding, filing, & de-burring of shop parts with hand grinders
  • Performs routine oiling, greasing, and cleaning of shop machines
  • Assists with loading and unloading of trucks
  • Maintains adequate stock of cleaning supplies

Additional Responsibilities

  • May be assigned to some unskilled jobs at the mill, drill press, band saw, or cnc machines.
  • May act as forklift operator as long as employee has valid driver’s license.
  • Will be used as a back-up driver in the situation where our current driver is unavailable.
  • Under direction of tradesperson, may cut, grind and file parts of metal stock.
  • Use 6″ & 9″ Hand Grinders for grinding metal parts
  • Ability to paint parts with air sprayer
  • Straightening metal parts & raw material experience a plus


  • Must be a steady, reliable worker.
  • Must be able to read simple instructions and follow simple diagrams.
  • Must be able to perform simple tasks independently after being given specific instructions.
  • Must have general knowledge of simple measuring equipment.
  • Driver’s license needed to be able to drive.
  • Must be able to pass a USDOT Physical.
  • Must be 21+ yrs old to be able to drive for our company.
