Job Title CNC Machinist ($22+ / Hr DOE)
Job Summary

Manufacture Quality Components and Sub-Assemblies of large size with Proficiency using CNC and Manual Machining Centers.

Essential Functions

  • Setup and operate machining centers to reliably manufacture our customers products
  • Work from drawings and internal job routings
  • Optimize machining processes
  • Complete periodic maintenance for assigned work center and tooling
  • Complete inspection of each feature on each component produced
  • Document setup Instructions, and inspected part dimensions
  • Acquire and Maintain personal tooling required as per Schurman Machine tooling outline
  • Maintain a professional demeanor

Qualifications

  • Degree, Certificate, or equivalent experience in CNC Machining
  • 5+ years of on the job experience operating large horizontal & vertical CNC mills
  • Able to setup one-off parts efficiently & without supervision
  • Responsible and Reliable
  • Proficient in blueprint reading
  • Proficient in geometry and trigonometry
  • Proficient in G-Code
  • Able to handle changing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Must pass drug test prior to hire

Physical Requirements

  • Visual acuity to read directions, blueprints, and inspect machined parts closely
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery
  • Physical ability to do the work required with frequent stooping and bending
  • Maneuver up/down ladders & in/around large parts on machine
  • Physical strength to lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis
